Scott Grooms
Scott began his career in the financial services career over 25 years ago with E.F. Hutton as a young investment advisor. After completing two years of extensive training with Hutton, Scott co-founded his own firm that focused on the business and estate planning needs of business owners and high net worth families.
In 1995, Scott and his partner were successful in selling their business to a large insurance brokerage firm in Atlanta and in turn, became a partner in that firm. This is when he began primarily working with other financial advisors all over the country providing estate and asset protection planning advice.
In 1999, Scott branched out and started his own firm offering the same expert advice to financial advisors and their clients on a point of sale basis. Eight years later, Scott was recruited by Time Financial Services to bring his experience and expertise to help continue to grow the insurance business as it related to high net worth clients in their estate, business, tax, and asset protection planning. He joined that operation in 2007 which is where he first began working with Dan Roeske.
In 2011, Scott was recruited by Dan Roeske, President of Tailormade Financial, to join him in working with independent financial advisors and their best clients as the “advisor to the advisor”. With the focus on creative planning strategies that are client centric for high net worth and high income clients involving their estate, business, tax, and asset protection needs, Scott, with his 20 plus years of experience in providing advanced planning directly to the end client, has helped Dan and their colleagues to make Tailormade the leaders in the advanced planning arena. At the same time Scott joined TailorMade Financial, he also transitioned his affiliation to the Leaders Group.
Scott graduated from The University of Notre Dame in 1984 with a BS in Marketing after attending there on a football scholarship. He then went on to earn his CLU from the American College in 1996.
Scott currently resides in Aledo, Texas with his bride of 20+ years, Valerie, and their two daughters, Cassandra and Alexandra.
